About me

I had been a registered dietitian for many years when my teen wanted to become vegetarian (and then two years later vegan),  I knew it would be doable (I’m a dietitian after all!) and as a family, we already ate vegetarian meals once or twice a week.

So I researched the latest in plant-based nutrition and found reliable resources for my teen and we dove in together on this journey.

We spent time together (sometimes hard to do with teens) and shared a common goal. It really was a positive experience. As we tried new recipes and foods, I decided to shift to plant-based eating too.

Along the way, I realized that I had certain advantages (what with being a dietitian and already familiar with vegetarian eating). I often wondered what this journey was like for other parents and individuals wanting to shift to plant-based eating. It can feel overwhelming with all the information (and misinformation) available. Let's face it, the idea of extra work in the kitchen is not appealing.

I knew I wanted to help, and that's how Time for Dinner came to be! I created this program to help people just like you, individuals and parents (supporting their teens), shift safely and seamlessly into plant-based/vegan eating.

If this sounds familiar to you - you don’t have to do this alone.  We can get started on this today.
